| Already receiving massive acclaim across the Atlantic, Denmark’s The Kissaway debuted their first long player in America with the release of Sleep Mountain in April. The band’s first album sparked enormous excitement in the UK and Europe with England’s The Independent having named their self-titled 2007 album “debut album of the year.” 2009 sees the band’s profile continuing to surge leading up to the anticipated release of Sleep Mountain with Pitchfork calling the album’s first single “SDP” a “six minute monster.” Sleep Mountain was produced by Interpol and The National producer Peter Katis, who drew forth towering sound from the quintet, best evidenced on the epic and sweeping “Don’t Wake Up.” Described as a, “gutsier Pains of Being Pure at Heart” by ever-respected music publication NME, The Kissaway Trail is uniquely poised to make good on the promises made by their first album and prove themselves to be one of the most dynamic and talked-about bands of 2010.
