Monster has always had a passion for music. An early 80's baby from Philadelphia, his musical journey began singing in chorus, playing the viola, trumpet and saxophone for most of his elementary education. He got into hip hop music heavily at an early age. With all the excitement surrounding this amazing culture, he had to be a part of it. At age 15 Monster saved up and purchased his first pair of turntables. After that, it was on! Word caught wind in high school and before you know it, he was djing parties for friends and recording rappers in his
bedroom. By 1997, Monster heard of a production class in high school and immediately began pursuing a career in music. He started making
beats in these classes, and purchased his first MPC drum machine. Monster had officially became a part of the hip hop experience. For a few years, he produced local mc's, did a few shows, but felt there were bigger things in store for him. In 2002,Monster decided to take classes
at the institute of Audio Research in New York City. East Side Sound Studio followed by giving him a chance to work in a world class recording studio located in the lower eastside. Monster got gigs at clubs like Cro Bar and Mission,
all while working at the world famous FatBeats Records. Monster covered all terrain. In the fall of 2005, Monster and a few co workers began
Fatbeats Radio on eastvillageradio.com. A cutting edge live radio show that broadcasts from the streets of the East Village. Within a few months, Monster and Co. brought Fatbeats Radio to the most listened to and downloaded show on eastvillageradio.com over the likes of Mark Ronson and Fader Magazine. Monster continues to make beats, working with Wu Tang artists and local new york mc's, Djing shows and living the life we call Hip Hop.....
