Brady Rymer & the Little Band that Could

Biography

2009 GRAMMY nominees Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could "might just be the best-sounding band in children’s music," according to NPR’s All Things Considered. First class, all-American roots/rock with a feel-good R&B foundation is Rymer’s calling card - he creates a warm, optimistic, rollicking back-porch vibe that gets children and their families up and dancing, and smiling from ear to ear. Kids love the energy and Rymer’s magnetic, good-times-guy charm, and the band's musicianship is something even the most discerning music-loving parent can appreciate.

Brady Rymer toured and recorded with RCA’s From Good Homes for thirteen years, sharing the stage with the likes of Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews and the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir, before parenthood expanded the scope of his music to include young and old alike. Since then, he’s traveled the country with the Little Band That Could, sharing strong, straight-ahead grooves, catchy choruses, and an irresistible down-home, boogie-woogie, hip-shakin' vibe. At the Highline show, the band will introduce rockin' tunes like "Ice Cream Girl" and "Just Say Hi" from their upcoming CD, along with favorites "Road Trip," "Jump Up (It's A Good Day)" and "One True You" to get the whole family groovin'!

The L.A. Daily News has lauded Brady’s "superbly written songs… an exceptional, toe-tapping collection of music," while USA Today termed Rymer's style "genuine roots rock for kids." The Staten Island Advance enthused that Rymer’s "rock-inspired lyrics have a real generation-spanning appeal … he’s got a magical quality about him in the way he connects to his listeners," and the New York Times reported "Mr. Rymer's American roots rock is a huge hit with children. And he has a pedigree that will please parents too!"
